Just Wait

“Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10a ESV

This journey....this long and often weary journey. The road between the hurt + the healed. The space between the question + the answer. Oh, how hard it is!

We long for our destination. For what’s to come. To be better than we were. We plead for the Lord to lift the pain. To restore the joy. And we beat ourselves up for not being there yet.

The manageable schedule, the financial freedom, the abundant lifestyle. The job, the promotion, the raise. The spouse, the house, the kids. Physical healing, emotional wellness, spiritual awakening.

But, what if the journey to get there was more important than the place we actually landed? What if we were missing our destiny, because we were too focused on our destination?

My friends, let’s slow down and take note of how far He’s brought us already! Lets count our gifts. Let’s give ourselves some grace and stop rushing away the in-between, because in the waiting is where He waits for us.
